Storytelling that Celebrates Nature’s FLOW

Sue’s home turtle Toby has a habit of pausing before he finally slides into the feeding station. Itโ€™s a fitting metaphor for our Storytellers publicity pace, by the time we get moving, the event is already upon us!

But, pleaseโ€ฆ as part of the Nature Festival, storytellers from Storytelling Australia (SA) Inc. will gather to celebrate the natural world with an afternoon of live storytelling.

These are not fairy tales for children, but thoughtful, creative stories for adults and curious tweens and teens, stories that capture the spirit of nature in surprising and meaningful ways.

Storytelling is one of the oldest intergenerational traditions we have. Around fires, at kitchen tables, and in community halls, stories have always been how knowledge, wisdom and perspective are passed from one age group to another. They connect us across generations, cultures, and experiences.

A story can make a teenager pause, a grandparent reflect, and an adult see their world anew.

The Nature Festival invites us to consider our deep and diverse connections to the environment. This storytelling event extends that invitation further, showing how story itself is part of the ecology of community, helping us grow understanding between generations, while reminding us of our shared responsibility for the earth we all inhabit.

Event details:
๐Ÿ“… Sunday 12 October
๐Ÿ•‘ 1:45 pm โ€“ 4:15 pm
๐Ÿ“ Girl Guides SA Knightsbridge, Philps Reserve

Itโ€™s a chance to pause, listen, and be carried by wordsโ€”much like Toby pausing at his water station, reminding us that slowing down is often how we truly take things in.
