Stephen. Kangaroo Island Artworks Gallery.

Stephen. The guy who refuses to be defined by a single job title, and who keeps up the pace (even when he doesnโ€™t realise it). Open, creative, happy, sometimes not so happyโ€ฆ but always Stephen

He is a professional window cleaner. In practice, heโ€™s a storyteller with a ladder. Between panes of glass and open skies, he has carved out time as a YouTube vlogger, an enthusiastic photographer and an eclectic website designer.

He has been a volunteer radio presenter since 2017, most weeks and every new-years-eve!  He also writes prose, shapes poetry, through which he express what he calls his โ€œnew life aloneโ€.

His days, he says, begin with intention: self-affirmations, a daily mantra, and a clear commitment to staying grounded.

He is a passionate advocate for Kangaroo Island businesses, championing local enterprise with the same energy he brings to his creative work.

Should you meet Stephen during your holiday to Kangaroo Island, it would most likely be because he noticed you looked lost, or seeking quality coffee or honey – he knows the right people from which to buy them. ;)

Stephen reminds us that identity isnโ€™t a job title โ€” itโ€™s the thread that runs through everything we do. Window cleaner, storyteller, advocate, creative spiritโ€ฆ labels fall short. What stands out is the quiet consistency: showing up, staying curious, and building a life with intention, one clear pane at a time. -Editor

Kangaroo Island Artworks Gallery sits in Murray Street, behind the Kingscote Council Chambers, across from Home Hardware. It’s a volunteer-run space, open every day except Xmas day, 10am-4pm, where many local artists show and sell their work.
